Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to making Orbitshape usable by everyone.
Our Commitment
Orbitshape is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We believe everyone deserves equal access to information and the ability to engage with our content and services. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance Standards
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines, developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including:
- Visual impairments (blindness, low vision, color blindness)
- Hearing impairments
- Motor impairments
- Cognitive and neurological disabilities
What We're Doing
We take the following measures to ensure accessibility:
- Semantic HTML — we use proper heading hierarchy, landmarks, and semantic elements to ensure screen readers can accurately convey page structure
- Color contrast — all text meets or exceeds WCAG AA contrast ratios against its background
- Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements (links, buttons, forms, menus) are fully accessible via keyboard without requiring a mouse
- Alt text — all meaningful images include descriptive alternative text
- Responsive design — our site adapts to all screen sizes and supports zooming up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- Readable typography — we use clear, legible fonts (Inter and JetBrains Mono) at appropriate sizes with adequate line spacing
- Focus indicators — visible focus outlines are maintained on all interactive elements for keyboard users
- Form labels — all form inputs have associated labels for screen reader compatibility
- ARIA attributes — we use ARIA labels and roles where semantic HTML alone is insufficient
- Reduced motion — animations are subtle and can be disabled by users who prefer reduced motion in their system settings
PDF Accessibility
Our downloadable ebook guides are delivered as PDFs. We strive to make these documents accessible as well:
- Proper document structure with tagged headings and paragraphs
- Readable font sizes and adequate color contrast
- Alt text for informational images and diagrams
- Logical reading order for screen reader navigation
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may still have room for improvement:
- Some older PDF guides may not have full tag structure — we are progressively updating these
- Third-party content (such as the Stripe checkout page) is governed by Stripe's own accessibility standards
